Privacy
Your privacy matters. This page explains, in plain language, what information Footistics collects, why, where it lives, who can see it, and the control you have over it. We keep data collection to what the app genuinely needs to work: Footistics shows no adverts and we never sell your data. The app is built on services that gather usage and diagnostic information of their own, and "Usage and diagnostics" below sets out which, and what each one receives.
What we store
Footistics stores:
• Account details from your sign-in provider — your name, email address and profile photo from Google, or the email address you register with.
• Your player profile — the details you add about yourself as a player.
• The content you create — the teams, seasons and games you set up, their rosters and results, and the per-player statistics you record.
• Basic technical information needed to keep you signed in and to sync your data across devices.
• Crash and error reports, sent to Google's Crashlytics when something goes wrong so we can find and fix it. These describe the failure and the device it happened on — not your football data.
• Usage and performance information, gathered by Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Performance Monitoring: which parts of the app you open, how quickly they load, a device identifier, and the rough region your connection comes from. A Facebook library is still built into the app, and it reports app events, such as opening Footistics, to Meta.
• Reports you send us and the players you block — what you reported and why, anything you added, and your account, so we can look into it. Who you have blocked is visible only to you.
We don't ask for anything the app doesn't need, and Footistics shows no adverts of its own.
Why we store it
Your information is used only to run the app for you: to sign you in, to show your profile and content, to connect you with the friends you choose, to calculate your statistics, and to keep everything in sync. Your football data is never sold, never used to advertise to you, and never handed to anyone for their own purposes. The usage and diagnostic information described below is the one exception worth naming: Meta receives app events through the sign-in library, and may use them for its own advertising and measurement.
Who can see it
Some information is shared with the people you play with. Your profile and photo are visible to the friends you connect with and to the teams you are on.
In a game you took part in, the other participants can see your line for that match — goals, assists, minutes, cards and man of the match — just as you can see theirs. Your statistics pages are a different matter: they are built from your games alone, and nobody else sees them.
Footistics has no public website or profile pages — nothing you store is visible outside the app to anyone who isn't signed in and connected to you.
Where your data is stored
Your data is kept in a secure cloud database managed by our backend provider, protected by access rules so each person can only read and change what they're allowed to. On your device Footistics keeps only what it needs to run: your settings and the images it has already downloaded. Signing out ends your session; that local remainder goes when you uninstall Footistics or clear its storage in your device settings.
Photos
Profile photos and team badges you upload are stored in secure cloud storage and shown to the friends and players who can see the related profile or team. Photos are optional — you can leave them blank, change them, or remove them at any time.
Signing in with Google
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo from Google to create and identify your account. We don't post anything to that service, and we don't access anything beyond that basic profile information.
Usage and diagnostics
Footistics is built on Google's Firebase, and it also carries a library from Meta. Each gathers information of its own, separately from everything above, and it starts the moment the app opens.
• Google Analytics for Firebase records which parts of the app are used, together with a device identifier and the rough region your connection comes from, so we can see which features earn their place.
• Firebase Performance Monitoring measures how long screens and network requests take, so we can find what is slow.
• Firebase Crashlytics reports failures — what went wrong, and on which device.
• A Facebook library reports app events such as opening Footistics to Meta. Meta may use them for its own advertising and measurement. This happens whichever way you signed in: the library is built into the app itself, and it is still there even though Footistics no longer offers signing in with Facebook.
None of them receive your teams, matches, statistics, reports or photos — that data stays in the database described above.
Your controls
You are in control of your information within the app. You can edit your profile, change or remove your photo, and edit or delete the teams, seasons and games you've created. You can disconnect from a friend, and you can sign out at any time from Settings.
You can also block someone from their profile: they can no longer reach you, they leave your search results, and you both leave each other's teams. It is private — they are not told — and you can lift it under Settings → Privacy → Blocked players. Reporting is separate and comes only to us; see Help → Blocking & reporting.
Deleting your data
Signing out from Settings ends your session on this device. To go further, Settings → Privacy → Delete my account removes your account for good: your profile and personal details, your seasons, the matches you created, your teams, your connections and your photo. You will be asked to sign in once more first, and it cannot be undone — so export your data beforehand if you want to keep a copy.
One thing is deliberately kept. The games you played with other people stay in their history, without your name: their own statistics would otherwise be wrong. Those figures carry no name, photo or account, and they last exactly as long as the match they belong to — when the player who created that match deletes it, or deletes their own account, they go with it.
You can also request deletion at the support address under Help → Need more help? if you no longer have the app.
Changes to this notice
As Footistics grows, this notice may be updated to reflect new features or requirements. When something meaningful changes, we'll update the information here so it always describes how the current version of the app handles your data.
